In this reimagining, the story The film revolves around a group of friends who are facing a midlife crisis and trying to recreate their “favorite movie from their youth.” According to sources (via THR), they will also “head to the rainforest, where they will find themselves in a battle for their lives against natural disasters, giant snakes, and violent criminals.”
At present, it is unknown who will play whom in Anaconda However, sources claimed that Black will play “a former director, stuck in his job as a wedding videographer,” while Rudd will play “an actor who lands a stint on a detective show but sees his Hollywood dreams fading further and further.” However, other sources claimed the opposite.
It's also currently unknown who will play the group of friends who drag Black and Rudd into the wilderness. But the project certainly sounds like a great comedic vehicle, as Black and Rudd are two of the most charming actors currently working in the genre. The idea of these two freaking out while chasing a giant anaconda is no doubt enough to sell the film.
Speaking about the film, Tom Gormican, director of the 2022 action-comedy film, said: The unbearable weight of immense talent Actor Nicolas Cage is co-writing the Anaconda screenplay alongside actor Kevin Etten, and will helm the reimagining.
