Kathryn Hahn Sings New Song

The cast of Marvel's “Agatha All Along” revealed the second trailer for “WandaVision” at the D23 Expo on Friday, along with a special live performance of the original song that leads the show, “The Ballad of the Witches Road.”

Star Kathryn Hahn — reprising her role as the hilarious, magic-loving witch Agatha Harkness from “WandaVision” — was joined onstage at Honda Center in Anaheim by co-stars Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ann and Debra Jo Rupp to perform the song written by Emmy and Oscar-winning team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who also appeared onstage. The song’s title refers to the mystical path that the show’s logline describes as “a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards the witch with what she lacks.”

In “WandaVision,” Han is first introduced as Agnes, Wanda and Vision’s nosy “neighbor” in Westview, a community trapped inside an ever-evolving television show. Eventually, she reveals her true identity as Agatha, a powerful witch who has lived for centuries due to her magical abilities. After an epic fight in the “WandaVision” finale between Agatha and Wanda, the superhero takes all of Agatha’s powers and traps her inside Westview as her false Agnes. In “Agatha All Along,” Locke’s persona, known only as Tin, frees Agatha from Wanda’s spell, and Agatha then gathers a coven to walk the path of the witches in order to regain her magical abilities.

“WandaVision” head writer Jac Schaefer is serving as executive producer and showrunner of “Agatha All Along,” which will premiere with two episodes on Disney+ on September 18.
