Kim Soohyun and Cho Boah Head Cast of ‘Knock-Off,’ Disney Crime Series


Great cast for “KNOCK-OFF”

Kim Soo HyunThe “My Love from The Star,” “It's Okay to Not Be Okay” and “Queen of Tears” star will collaborate with Chu Boah (“Tale of the Nine Tails”, “Military Prosecutor Doberman”), in the Korean crime series “tradition” Which Disney has scheduled for release in 2025.

The show delves into the dark world of counterfeit goods, following a man whose life was shattered in the wake of the 1997 Asian financial crisis. Desperate to rebuild what he once had, he finds himself drawn into the counterfeit goods trade, quickly rising to the top of the counterfeit goods scene. This puts him on a collision course with his ex-girlfriend, who now works for a special police department tasked with combating the counterfeit goods trade.

Disney is racing to build out its library of Korean content and has released ten shows so far in 2024.

Her upcoming slate includes “The Tyrant,” “Unmasked,” “Seoul Busters,” “Light Shop,” and the crime thriller “Gangnam Style Side Two” Which will premiere as part of the Busan Film Festival (see below). Notable dramas based on talented screenplays in 2025 include “Tempest,” “Low Life,” and “Nine Puzzles.”

Busan International Film Festival Today, the Korean Film Foundation screened five films and six TV series in the Korean Cinema Special Premiere section, which aims to showcase the latest and most prominent contemporary Korean commercial films.

While one, Hor Jin is“An Ordinary Family” premiered last year, and the other four films are all world premieres. They include: “Girl with closed eyes” A thriller that delves into the complex and tense relationship between a criminal and a detective, who come together after the murder of a best-selling author and co-stars. Kim Minha (“Pachinko”) and Moon Choi;Bogota: The Lost City The film is about Korean immigrants in Colombia who become smugglers; a crime drama about two corrupt detectives; “Dirty Money,” the directorial debut of Kim Min-soo (screenplay for “Cruel”); and “Hear Me: Our Summer,” a remake of the 2009 Taiwanese film “Hear Me.”

Screen section includes “After the farewell” Japanese melodrama Kasumi Arimura and Sakaguchi Kentaro; “Born for the limelight” By Taiwanese actor, writer and director and completes a trilogy that also includes The Making of an Ordinary Woman.

The Korean titles are: “Donggae, the good or the bastard” A spin-off of the top-rated and most popular national drama “Stranger”;“Gangnam B-side” An action crime drama revolving around a missing person case; “Hellbound Season 2” Again with the output Yoon Sang Ho Choi Gyu-seok wrote “Love in the Past,” a fantasy romance novel about a coming-of-age teen, where an ex-boyfriend is now a grim reaper.

He is also a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The appointment was announced by the Federal Minister for the Arts Tony Burke.
