Paramount+ tends to lag in both Luminate and Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings, but came through with a No. 4 title for the April 26-May 2.
“Knuckles,” a limited series based on the “Sonic the Hedgehog” video games, debuted on the first day of this viewing period and was watched for 450 million minutes. Divided by the series’ 171-minute runtime, that translates to roughly 2.6 million views.
In terms of minutes watched, “Knuckles” placed behind “Fallout” on Amazon Prime Video and “Baby Reindeer” on Netflix, which held onto their No. 1 and No. 2 positions from last week with 817.8 million and 668.5 million minutes watched, as well as Netflix’s Spanish crime drama “The Asunta Case,” which debuted at No. 3 with 506.3 million minutes watched in its first full week of availability.
But when accounting for each series’ runtime, only “Baby Reindeer” outpaced “Knuckles,” hitting 2.8 million views while “Fallout” and “The Asunta Case” reached 1.7 milion and 1.6 million views, respectively.
Netflix’s “Dead Boy Detectives” was next, debuting at No. 5 with 429.4 million views (985,000 views), followed by the debut of “Them” Season 2 on Amazon Prime Video with 290.9 million views (935,000 views).
On the movies chart, “Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver” remained on the top with 260.2 million minutes watched, though its 2.1 million views were outpaced by the No. 2 title, “Hack Your Health: The Secrets of Your Gut,” which hit 2.4 million views with 193.2 million minutes watched. “Rebel Moon — Part One” continued to get a boost from “Part Two,” landing in fourth place with 101.8 million minutes watched and 688,000 views.
Also of note on the movies chart was the debut of Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine’s “The Idea of You” managed to hit No. 7 despite only being available for one day during this viewing period, reaching 59.6 million minutes watched and 518,000 views.
