Lady Gaga Thanks Fans for Strong Response to “Die With A Smile”


The duo released the song “Die With a Smile” and performed their romantic song in Los Angeles last week.

Lady Gaga is thanking her fans for the strong response to her romantic duet “Die With A Smile” with Bruno Mars, her first solo song in two years.

“It means so much to me to see fans all over the world celebrating this music,” Gaga wrote on social media on Thursday. “To see the lyrics touch your heart and the video spark such a huge wave of dancing and joy is beautiful to watch and I am so grateful.”

The artists debuted their debut duet last week at the first-ever event at the new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, releasing “Die With A Smile” after teasing the song for days beforehand.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you for loving our song, I truly love you and I hope the message of love we shared continues to create special moments for all of you in your lives – I know it does in mine every day. The power of music is great and your love for this song has reminded me of that.”

“Die With A Smile” has been gaining popularity since its release last week and is now a strong contender to debut inside the top 10 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. As Billboard points out, while the song had a more modest first-day performance, its plays have been steadily rising this week, rising 34 percent from Sunday to Monday alone.

Gaga's single comes as she prepares to release her album. Joker: Madness in DuoShe stars in the film alongside Joaquin Phoenix as Harley Quinn, the Clown Prince of Crime's love interest in numerous Batman comic books, TV shows, and movies. Given the song's title, fans have speculated whether “Die With A Smile” is related to the upcoming film.
