At a Toby Keith tribute concert in Nashville earlier this week, Lenny Wilson made a dramatic horseback entrance, riding from the back of the arena to take her place in the spotlight on stage. Wilson's latest album release whirlwind Her song “Good Horses” continues her horse-themed theme with the help of another country songwriter who knows her way around a stable: “Good Horses” is a duet with Miranda Lambert.

Written by Wilson, Lambert and Lambert's frequent collaborator Luke Dick, the quiet song delivers a “don't trap me” message about wanderlust, but with the reassurance that those who wander always return to their loved ones.

“31 years is a long time coming/My feet are off the ground but I’m still running,” Wilson, now 32, sings in the first verse, before tossing the reins to Lambert, who narrates Wilson’s origin story: “I’ve come a long way since I left Louisiana/My dream is tied like a red scarf.” They come together throughout the song to soothe a lover’s mind, singing, “If you want to love me/You don’t need a rope/You just need to know/Good horses come home.”
