It seems Liam and Noel Gallagher are no longer looking at each other with anger – Oasis are officially back together.
After a 15-year feud, the band's founders and siblings are leaving the past behind as they prepare for a UK reunion tour next year. The Gallagher brothers announced Tuesday that they will play 14 shows in the summer of 2025, including four at Wembley Stadium in London and four at Heaton Park in Manchester. Other stops include Cardiff, Edinburgh and Dublin. Ticket sales begin at 9am local time on August 31 via Ticketmaster, GigsAndTours.com and SeeTickets.com.
“There was no grand moment that sparked the reunion – just the gradual realization that the time was right,” reads a press release. “And yet, the timing must have been a subconscious influence. This Thursday marks 30 years to the day since the release of their sensational debut album ‘Definitely Maybe,’ while 2025 will see the equally important second album ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’ reach the same anniversary.”
The Gallagher brothers added: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The long wait is over. Come and see. The event will not be televised.”
According to the press release, there are plans underway for the band to also tour outside of Europe next year.
On Sunday, Gallagher confirmed that Oasis would be back in action after both posted a cryptic clip on their X (formerly Twitter) accounts that showed the date “27.08. 24”. The band's official website also showed the same date on its homepage, suggesting that an Oasis-related announcement would be made on Tuesday.
And that wasn't the only hint of a reunion: Over the weekend, Liam Gallagher responded to several fan queries and comments on X as reports circulated online about Oasis performing in the UK next year.
When one user complained about Oasis playing at Heaton Park in Manchester, calling it a “horrible venue”, Liam Gallagher replied: “See you at the front you big idiot.”
“I never liked that word FORMER,” the singer also wrote on Sunday morning.
Oasis officially disbanded in 2009 following the departure of Noel Gallagher from the British rock band.
In June, Liam Gallagher launched a tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of Oasis' debut studio album, “Definitely Maybe.” The album also received a new reissue earlier this year.
