Maggie Rose, Brent Cobb & More to Tribute to ‘Wanted! The Outlaws’


Outlaws are Coming to Nashville. On Tuesday, August 6, Rolling Stone will team up with George Dickel Whiskey to pay tribute to Wanted! Outlawsthe first country music album ever to go platinum.

The event will be hosted by Rolling Stone's chief music editor, Joseph Hudak, and will feature performances from the album by Silverada, Taylor Hunnicutt, Brent Cobb, and Maggie Rose, each of whom are “outlaws” in the way they approach their music.

With her deep, raspy voice and distinctive rock 'n' roll style—not to mention being one of the first to open for the Red Clay Strays—the Alabama native is a rising star in the outlaw scene. Songs like “Alabama Sound” and “All or Nothin'” reflect a stellar performance ready for stardom.

Texas band Silverada (formerly known as Mike & the Moonbies) have transformed from honky-tonk heroes to major concert stars. This year, the band released an album of the same name under their new name and celebrated a headline show at Nashville's iconic Ryman Auditorium.

Cobb draws inspiration from his home state of Georgia, where Southern rock, soul, blues, and country music meet. This sonic fusion has helped shape Cobb's formidable songwriting abilities, making him a go-to songwriter for artists like Miranda Lambert and Lucky Combs. And in Cobb's own songs, like those on his latest album Southern StarHis deep voice commands quiet attention as he tells stories of rural life in the South.

Rose may not be synonymous with the tough country circuit, but the powerful singer's rebellious attitude and unconventional approach to her career make her an “outlaw” in every sense of the word. Rose has built on her soulful style and created a path all her own with the release of Nobody gets out alive.one of Rolling Stone's best albums of 2024 so far. It showcases her newfound creativity—not to mention her distinctive vocals and skillful songwriting.

The event will take place at the iconic Nashville mansion, where names like Randy Travis got their start. After solo performances of some of the most iconic country songs in history (supported by Silverada), the artists will take the stage for a rousing finale and tribute to Rolling Stone’s 10th greatest country song.D Anniversary with a shot of Dickel whiskey.
