Mariah Carey's mother, Patricia, and sister, Allison, died on the same day last weekend.
“My heart is broken because I lost my mother last weekend,” the singer said in a statement. “Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister also lost her life that same day.” Rolling Stone .
