Mark Wahlberg Opens Up About Co-Starring With Halle Berry In Netflix’s The Union

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Mark Wahlberg spoke candidly about starring alongside Halle Berry in the upcoming Netflix action movie, The Union. The actor made note that sharing the screen with Berry for the first time is ‘every guy’s fantasy.’ Turns out, Wahlberg and Berry have been friends for decades, but The Union is their first time sharing screen time together.

The trailer of the movie offered viewers a glimpse into their impeccable chemistry, and Wahlberg’s revelation of the two actors going way back only adds depth to their connection. When speaking about the opportunity with the outlet, Wahlberg shared:

“…Halle, her and I have known each other for such a long time and this movie is going to be so great because it’s every guy’s fantasy, to think that they got a shot with Halle Berry.”

Wahlberg added that it was “a little weird” to engage in romance on screen and acknowledged the uniqueness of shooting these scenes given his long-term marriage to Rhea Durham since 2009 but also added how his wife knows “she is [his] everything.”

“I think it’s a little weird anyway when you’re portraying some sort of romance onscreen, it’s not normal, but my wife knows that she is my everything. She is the most special woman in the world.”

The Union Promises High Stakes Action And A Sizzling Chemistry

Directed by Julian Farino, the upcoming thriller follows Mike (Wahlberg), a down-to-earth construction worker from New Jersey, who has an unexpected encounter with his high school sweetheart, Roxanne (Berry), when she walks into the bar one night. Little does he know, Roxanne plans to recruit Mike for “a high-stakes U.S. intelligence mission” where Mike has to retrieve stolen information about the force’s secret agents. The reunion between Mike and Roxanne is both intriguing and nostalgic.
