The last major TV show to air five days a week late at night is giving up 24 hours of its schedule.
NBC will move “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” to four nights a week, the latest in a series of moves across late-day slots aimed at shoring up programming economics as audiences shift away from linear TV.
CBS's “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” ABC's “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” NBC's “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and Comedy Central's “The Daily Show” have already begun airing four days a week.
