Gaming star and streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins will launch his first Fortnite-branded map on Tuesday through Gamefam’s “Infinite Zonewars.”
The partnership with Gamefam's battle-royale, which has seen 1.2 million lifetime players since its launch, will be the only active “Fortnite” game to feature Ninja.
Ninja's return to Fortnite comes on the heels of Disney's $1.5 billion investment in the platform, and at a time when many creators are exploring ways to monetize their brands beyond their existing content through entertainment deals and media partnerships.
The event will include these branded items in collaboration with Ninja, according to Gamefam:
- Ninja Audio Commentary: Exclusive in-game commentary from Ninja to celebrate a series of hits.
- Ninja-themed vaults: Access the ninja's favorite items in the game.
- Favorite Points of Interest (POIs): Incorporating Ninja's favorite locations from Fortnite history.
- Ninja Capture Lobby: A ninja-themed starting area.
- New UI: Custom Ninja-themed display and UI.
- Ninja Look: New Ninja Icon Look in the Lobby
Ninja, who has 19 million followers on Twitch and 24 million subscribers on YouTube, will live stream himself playing the new “Fortnite”-branded map and interact with fans as it launches on Tuesday.
“After looking at the work Gamefam has done on UEFN, it was a no-brainer for me,” said Ninja. “I want to experience map creation with the best out there and I think we have something special here. They really understood what I wanted to do and now all my fans can challenge me. I know I’ve mostly stayed away from building but playing this map was really fun and challenging for me at the same time.”
“The map gives my fans the chance to play against me, while I’m building, which is something I rarely get to do these days since Zero Build,” Ninja says. “I think we have a really cool map with some fun twists as well.” “All players will have a chance to be the first to reach Ninja Master and win 50,000 V-Bucks… you have to enter to win it! I can’t wait!”
Ninja is represented by CAA and Loeb & Loeb.
