Oasis, whose new concerts have generated a demand for tickets not seen since Taylor Swift's 2022 debacle, have announced two more concerts at London's Wembley Arena on September 27 and 28.
According to the announcement, the tour was the biggest concert launch to date in the UK and Ireland, with more than 10 million fans from 158 countries trying to buy a stock of tickets running into the hundreds of thousands.
“As a small step toward fixing the situation,” the band said in a statement announcing the new shows, they are trying to make less frustrating tickets available for sale through a special “invitation-only ticketing strategy,” where ballot applications will be opened first to many fans who were unsuccessful in the initial Ticketmaster sale. The announcement acknowledges that “interest in this tour is inevitably overwhelming to the point where it is impossible to schedule enough shows to meet public demand. However, this ticketing strategy will make the process smoother for fans by reducing the stress and time it takes to secure one of the most sought-after tickets of our time.” No further details were provided in the announcement.
The statement also found the band distancing itself from Ticketmaster's “dynamic ticketing” process — which also angered Bruce Springsteen fans when it was implemented in 2022 — where prices rise with demand, often into four or even five figures.
“It should be made clear that Oasis leaves ticketing and pricing decisions entirely to its promoters and management, and at no time were they aware that dynamic pricing would be used,” the statement read. “While previous meetings between promoters, Ticketmaster and the band’s management resulted in a positive ticketing strategy, which would be a fair experience for fans, including dynamic ticketing to help keep general ticket prices low and limit promotions, the implementation of the plan has failed to meet expectations. All parties involved have done their utmost to provide the best possible experience for fans, but due to unprecedented demand this has become impossible to achieve.”
While the group has yet to announce North American tour dates, they recently advertised it with a billboard in New York's Times Square; the alleged leaked tour schedule, which has been accurate so far, showed the group playing Toronto, Chicago, New York, Boston, and shows in the Los Angeles area in late August and early September of 2025, ahead of the newly scheduled London dates.
The announcement states that “the UK and Ireland leg of Oasis Live '25” [will be] Their only European shows in 2025.” The new schedule is below.
