Meanwhile, after Muriel agrees to move to California with Lee, she becomes inactive as they struggle to make ends meet. Although they make progress and secure a new home for themselves, it is not enough to satisfy her. Thus She ends up gambling on racehorses, and keeps her winnings a secret from her husband.The four characters each strive to fulfill their own dreams, discovering new truths, for better and worse, about themselves in the process.

Capturing the sunny California skies and the heat of Las Vegas, his work brings out the eroticism inherent in each location.
