His character, Wes, reconnects with his estranged father, Dean (Eric Dane), and eventually falls in love with a local waitress named Camilla (Maya Revicco), who has a young son with whom Wes quickly forms a strong bond. In real life, the father now has a son of his own and has confirmed that fatherhood has influenced how he approaches his acting career, particularly in roles like Wes in one quick move.
“You have a child, and you immediately open yourself up to a different way of seeing the world and seeing yourself, It has definitely had an impact on your work as an actor.“You’re dealing with human experiences,” Apa told MovieWeb. “I feel like that definitely affects her. It’s crazy. You know, before you have a child, you spend time with children, and it’s kind of weird, like interacting with children. Then you have your own child, and you start seeing children around you, and you’re like, ‘Oh, he’s just a child.’” I was afraid of children before I had one.“.”

He's a very real human being, and you're very much compelled to listen to him when he speaks in real life and on camera.
“I'm so grateful that I got to do that with him, you know, and his contribution to the story was amazing.”
