Post Malone Enlists Luke Combs for ‘Guy for That’: Listen


tracking A country song topping the charts with another country hit? Post Malone has found the man for it: Luke Combs. On Friday, the duo released “Guy For That,” Malone’s follow-up single following his hit “I Had Some Help” featuring Morgan Wallen.

“I’m down to my last dime/ I’m so good at breaking a heart/ But picking up the pieces is the hard part,” Malone sings on the chorus. “She’s looking for someone who’ll rebuild her/ But I ain’t got a man to do it with.”

Throughout the week, Malone has been sharing clips of the song. Earlier this week, he shared a behind-the-scenes clip of the duo singing the song for a music video while wearing a hat that read “Dolly Parton Fan Club.”

Malone has been teasing his collaboration with Combs for months, posting a clip of himself dancing to the song they recorded in February.

“Guy For That” is set to appear on his sixth album, F-1 trillion“Sup motherfuckas…F-1 Trillion August 16th,” Posty wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of a billboard with the title of his racing-themed LP. Last week, he released “Yours,” an emotional song about his daughter, which is set to appear on his album.

Malone has been singing country songs all year long. It started in April with a surprise performance at the famed Ryman Auditorium, followed a few weeks later by his show at Stagecoach, where he performed a set of country songs and was joined on stage by the likes of Brad Paisley, Dwight Yoakam and Sara Evans.

He also appeared at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards, honored Dickey Betts with a cover of “Ramblin' Man” with Reba McEntire, and joined Beyoncé on “Levi's Jeans” for her landmark album, cowboy carter.

Last month, Blake Shelton joined him at the CMA Festival's Spotify House to perform one of the album's singles, “Pour Me a Drink.”
