Quavo, Playboi Carti, More Artists Honor Rap Great


Celebrities including Lil Duval, Quavo and Playboi Carti are remembering Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan after his untimely death at the age of 34 on Thursday. Rolling Stone Cowan's death was confirmed by a family member and the Fulton County coroner, though a cause of death was not immediately available.

“God be with us we did not see this being separated” [sic] “From our trip,” Quavo wrote in an Instagram Story, sharing an old photo of Migos alongside Quan in the studio.

Jacques also tweeted his condolences, writing on X, “Rest in peace my brother Rich Homie Quan. Love you for life. #RichGang.” He later posted a photo of the two of them, captioning it, “Legend.”

In his post, Posey said he had just “spoken” with Quan, hours before his death. “I never spoke to him.” [gonna] “Forget your smile, the way you talk and of course your music,” he wrote, later adding, “We have some beautiful memories together that always bring a smile to my face.”

Playboi Carti posted a video and photo of the duo singing together on his Instagram story, while Lil Duval posted an old photo with Quan.

“Rest in peace Rich Homie Quan. I appreciate what you gave to the culture. Our condolences to his family and friends,” Lloyd Banks wrote on Instagram.

Rallo shared a sweet tribute about how the two buried the axe before Cowan's death. He wrote, “Real men have conversations that end conflicts before our Lord is laid to rest. I appreciate you for being a real man, father, and brother in ending our disagreement before our day of meeting with our Lord.”

“I will extend my hand to your family for any assistance they may need,” he added.

Singer Anissa was saddened by the news of his death, and wrote on social media:[This] “This is going to piss me off, why… bro?” she shared as she shared a video of the singer performing.

Rich Homie Quan achieved mainstream success in 2013 with YG's “Type of Way” and “My Nigga,” though he gained popularity in his hometown of Atlanta in 2008 with “Stay Down” featuring the Stack Money Boyz.

“I just want people to appreciate the music,” he said in an interview the day before his death, claiming he would release the project before his birthday on October 4. “At the times we’re in, a song plays and it’s old in two days. When I get in the studio, I’m passionate about it, so I don’t want to leave the music unheard. I want to have marketing — I want to dot the i’s and cross the t’s.”
