Questlove's documentary about Sly Stone hasn't hit screens yet, but the Roots drummer knows which artist he'll be focusing his cameras on next: Earth, Wind & Fire.
Fittingly, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson announced his next project on social media on Saturday, revealing that “The Final Story of the Elements” will arrive in 2025.
“The story of how a band led by a genius from Chicago changed the way we think, our minds and our hearts,” Questlove added. “After being baptized into the Central African River of Joy of this powerful unit, I learned about them, I learned about us and most importantly I learned and rediscovered myself in the process.”

Earth, Wind & Fire's Verdine White, Philip Bailey and Ralph Johnson have joined the project, the trio added in a statement (via diverse“We look forward to this profound journey for our band, and are very excited to have Questlove direct the documentary.”
Earlier this year, Questlove reported on the progress of his long-awaited Sly Stone documentary, noting that Hulu had acquired the film, but that a premiere date had not yet been set.
