Ray LiottaThe final movie 1992Critics were divided over “The Last Day” but audiences were thrilled. The Los Angeles drama set after the Rodney King verdict wasn't Liotta's last film, but it was his last project to be released. 1992 The film was released in select theaters on August 30. The film revolves around a shopkeeper. He must save his son from an angry mob during the 1992 Los Angeles uprising following the Rodney King verdict. The story revolves around two families.
The film currently holds a 68% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The film received a 92% audience rating, which is much higher than that. Although its rating still puts the film in the new genre, there is a big difference between the two films. Why the disparity? Critics' opinions of the film ranged from liking the cast to criticizing the general plot and the fact that although the film takes place during the Los Angeles riots, the events “take place in the background.” On the other hand, audience reviews praised the film's action scenes and the message it conveys. Liotta's presence also helped, with viewers praising the actor's portrayal.
Despite the film's flaws, it's not hard to see why Liotta fans might welcome the film. The actor's decades-long career includes beloved characters like Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese's Good guys And Joe Jackson naked in Phil Alden Robinson's movie Field of DreamsThe actor, whose career dates back to the 1980s, has also played memorable roles in films, including Something wild (for which the actor received a Golden Globe nomination), John Q, Kill Them Softly, The Place Beyond the Pinesand Marriage story.
