Robert Pattinson sacrifices himself for science, literally, in trailer for Bong Joon-ho's film Mickey 17In the clip, Pattinson plays a man named Mickey who volunteers to be a “sacrificable person” and experiences repeated deaths in a futuristic world.
The comedic trailer, which features British Pattinson speaking with an unusual American accent, shows Mickey being forced to die violent deaths in the name of research, with his body being cloned each time he dies. But in the end, two Mickeys exist simultaneously, causing chaos and excitement.
The film, which also stars Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo, is the highly anticipated sequel to John Ho's Oscar-winning drama. parasiteIt is inspired by the novel. Mickey 7 Written by Edward Ashton, it is scheduled to hit theaters on January 31, 2025.

John Ho won three Oscars for parasitewhich was released in 2019, including Best Director. He previously directed Okja, Snow breakerand HostSeveral of his old colleagues, including cinematographer Darius Khondji and editor Yang Jinmo, also worked with him on the Mickey 17.
Pattinson most recently played Bruce Wayne in The bat He lent his voice to the English dub of Hayao Miyazaki's animated film. The Boy and the Heron.
