After the spread of misinformation, Zelda Williams I had to expose the absurdity of such claims.In response to the post, Zelda Williams explained that the monkey in the photo with her father is “Night at the Museum “co-actor” and that “no one” should ever own a pet monkey.
“It’s come to my attention that some of the nonsense that may have been written by AI is going viral. My father didn’t have a pet monkey, and no one should, and if you feel like it, support your local exotic animal rescue organization instead. This is his Night at the Museum co-star, who now lives in one.”
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Robin Williams' passing, and the false post once again demonstrated the effects of misinformation. Instead of celebrating her father's life, Zelda Williams was forced to respond to ridiculous social media posts and debunk false claims that were made solely for clicks.

“Since the most false or poorly researched posts are likely to go viral on the anniversary of a father’s death, it’s probably best to assume it’s all bullshit (which is what usually happens).”
