Standing on a mock-up of the infamous 30 Rock stage, he presents the Emmy Award for Writing for Variety Special, Saturday Night Live Stars stopped their shows to draw attention to creator Lorne Michaels' 85 Emmy nominations and loss. Wiig asserted that despite his losses, Michaels “was never a loser, even if he lost a lot.” Rudolph interjected, adding that Michaels had been “robbed, robbed, robbed” over the years, but assured him that “things would get better.”
“Just because SNL didn't work doesn't mean your next idea won't work. Keep dreaming,” Yang, who mispronounced Michaels' first name as “Lauren,” joked.
