See Billy Joel, Rod Stewart Perform ‘Stay With Me’ at Cleveland Show

Two legends team up to present classic Faces show in a joint show

Billy Joel's residency at the Garden may be over, but the piano man is still making the rounds, planning joint stadium concerts with the likes of Sting, Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart, who performed with Joel Friday night in Cleveland.

As with previous shows with Sting and Nicks, there was some overlap between the two sets, with Stewart appearing on stage to perform the Faces song “Stay With Me” with Joel and his band.

Joel had previously performed The Police's “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” and Sting's “Big Man on Mulberry Street” at the two singers' joint concert, while Joel and Nicks collaborated on “Stop Draggin' My Heart Around” and “And So It Goes” during their own shows.

The Cleveland show was Joel's first in over a month, and only his second since bidding farewell to his long-running Madison Square Garden residency in July, a performance highlighted by a guest appearance by Axl Rose.

Joel will close out his 2024 tour with a show later this month in St. Louis — the first of three more co-headlining shows with Sting this year — followed by a solo performance at the new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on Oct. 12.
