Slovakian Woman Goes From Singing With Macklemore to Behind Bars

Fan/runaway Samantha joined the rapper on stage at Lovestream Festival this week, despite an outstanding arrest warrant related to a 2019 football match stripping incident.

One of the sweet fans A tragic moment at Macklemore's concert in Slovakia last week turned bitter when a woman who joined the rapper on stage was arrested shortly after on an arrest warrant.

The incident occurred last weekend at the Lovestream Festival in Bratislava, where Macklemore was performing. During the concert, Macklemore invited a 24-year-old woman named Samantha on stage to sing with him on the song “Downtown.”

However, according to the Slovak Republic Police, a festival participant also recognized Samantha through a Slovak website dedicated to finding fugitives from the law.

“The woman immortalized this experience and boasted about it on a social network, which did not escape the attention of an observing citizen. He recognized the woman and found out that he had just seen her on the above-mentioned site and immediately reported it to the police,” the Slovak Republic Police wrote in a translated Facebook post.

After the duo performed on stage, police – who had at this point been notified of Samantha's arrest – quickly detained her backstage. She was then “taken to the Foundation's headquarters to serve her prison sentence.”

Police have not disclosed what charges Samantha faces or the length of her prison sentence. However, local media reported that Samantha's legal issues stem from an unpaid €800 fine for disorderly conduct that she incurred after she stripped and ran onto the pitch during a Slovakian football match in 2019.

As a result of the unpaid fine, the court ordered Samantha to serve time in prison, which she avoided for five years until she decided to go on stage with Macklemore.
