It was very brave of Disney not to disable comments. Let the fun begin!!

snow white The trailer showcases the film’s epic scope and stunning cinematography, not to mention the exquisitely crafted costumes and Oscar-worthy production design. But the visuals couldn’t save the trailer from various angles of attack. Much of the controversy surrounding director Marc Webb’s adaptation of the Disney classic is the decision to use CGI instead of live actors to play the “Seven Dwarfs.” Now, whatever issue or complaint each individual fan may have, they’re all letting their voices be heard after the controversial trailer dropped late last night. @jaredgagnon7342 added (edited for spelling):

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937): The story that started it all. Snow White (2025): The story that will end it all.

One of the targets of the new footage is Oscar-nominated Rachel Zegler, who shows off her incredible vocal abilities in the trailer by singing Adriana Caselotti's classic “Whistle While You Work.” However, while this may be a nostalgic sensation for some, many fans are still upset with the film. @roc5291 said:

Magic mirror on the wall “broken”

snow white The trailer for the film has only fanned the flames of an already hostile Disney community. But one of the most interesting aspects of the fanatics’ complaint has nothing to do with the storytelling, or even the aforementioned “Seven Dwarfs” controversy. Rather, there seems to be some debate among viewers when it comes to the casting of Rachel Zegler as the very pretty Snow White and Gal Gadot as the less-than-sweet Evil Queen, specifically in regards to “magic mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of all.” @onyx_0807 writes (edited):

When the mirror said “Snow White is the fairest”, I think the people in the cinema[s] He will say: The mirror is broken.

It’s clear that a large number of fans believe that Ziegler can’t compare to Gadot when it comes to how most people perceive their looks. It’s certainly not a fair measure of someone’s talent, especially as an actor, but fans can’t seem to stop expressing their opinions about it in the comments of the trailer. @chaiwatsongsiriphan6284 said:

Ziggler has dealt with backlash before, but it seems some fans are taking it out on him again now that the trailer for the film has been released. snow white The film was released to the public for all to see. However, the new footage from the live-action film spends the last 30 seconds almost entirely devoted to the pivotal moment in the story when the Evil Queen decides to make the all-important poisoned apple.

At one point, viewers can see Gadot donning a prosthetic mask after undergoing her hideous transformation — laughing and moving happily. Then, at the end of the trailer, the masked queen offers the deadly fruit to her unsuspecting victim. So while the trailer is an interesting and beautiful representation of the upcoming film, many fans are still unable or unwilling to support this new live-action version of snow white.
