It has been almost three years since the first season received an amazing response around the world and many unimaginable events happened. I am very excited to write this letter to announce the date of the second season and share the news of the third season, the final season.
I remember the first day we started shooting Season 2, I thought, “Oh my God, I can’t believe I’m back in the Squid Game universe.” It felt so surreal. I wonder how you would feel about coming back to Squid Game three years later.
Seong Gi-hun, who vowed revenge at the end of season 1, returns and joins the game once again. Will he succeed in getting revenge? Front Man doesn't seem like an easy opponent this time around either. The violent clash between their worlds will continue at the end of the series with season 3, which will air next year.
I am happy to see the seed that was planted in creating the new Squid Game grow and bear fruit until the end of this story.
