Several tweets later, he responded and pointed out the horrific moment one of the victims was separated. For a writer whose work is filled with violence, it must have been hard to convince King of a bloody image. (He writes gory scenes in graphic detail for a living.) Zahler's film seems to have finally convinced him: “What a pleasant surprise (except for the guy who defected, of course, and even that wasn't fun at all).”
