The young star of the popular Netflix series Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown, recently opened up about her experiences on the show. Brown revealed her least favorite scenes to shoot and her thoughts on the upcoming final season.
During promotions for her new movie Damsel, Brown spoke with Vanity Fair about her time on the Stranger Things set, particularly during Season 1. She singled out filming scenes in The Void as her most challenging moments. Describing the set as “the most depressing place ever,” Brown shared the difficulties of working in isolation, dealing with intense emotions, and coping with physical discomfort. “I’m always alone. I’m always having to be emotional and scared. I’m in water, my feet are pruny, I’m hungry. It’s my least favorite set ever,” she explained.
As Stranger Things approaches its fifth and final season, anticipation is building among the cast and fans. Brown revealed that the actors have not yet received the scripts for the last episodes, indicating that the creators are keeping the finale under wraps for now. “We haven’t read any [finale] scripts yet,” she said. “I know what happens to my character, but I don’t know what happens to others. So I think, yeah, they’re holding it back until we’re all together, and we can all cry and be sad together.” The show’s creators, the Duffer Brothers, have teased that the conclusion will satisfy viewers.
Stranger Things Season 5 Brings Back Favorites and Introduces Newcomers
The final season will see the return of many familiar faces, including Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, and Jamie Campbell Bower. A new addition to the Stranger Things cast is Linda Hamilton, renowned for The Terminator and a long-time enthusiast of the series. However, details about her character are still under wraps.
Stranger Things: How the Cast Has Changed Since Season 1
With Stranger Things coming to an end in 2025, let’s see how far the main cast has come in their careers since season 1.
Despite her excitement about joining the cast, Hamilton has disclosed in a prior interview that she will not be watching Stranger Things’ final season. She explained that seeing herself in a show she loves would disrupt her enjoyment of it. “When you really buy into something, you don’t see yourself in it,” Hamilton said.
“I think in a way, it kind of ruined the show for me. I never watch [a project], once I’m in something. It would just completely take me out of the reality of it to see myself in there. So I won’t be watching [Season 5].”
The release date for Stranger Things Season 5 has been delayed to 2025 due to last year’s Hollywood strikes. As fans eagerly await the final chapter of this beloved series, the cast prepares to deliver an emotional and satisfying conclusion to the story of Eleven and her friends in Hawkins, Indiana.
