‘Suits’ Returning to TV This Fall With ‘L.A.’ Spinoff


NBC Receives Series Order for New Show from Creator of US Legal Drama-Turned-Broadcasting Giant

suit – The long-running American legal drama that somehow became a streaming juggernaut last summer – will return to traditional television this fall with a spinoff titled Suits: LA

NBC has given the spinoff a series order on Friday, diverse Reported, with original suit Creator Aaron Korsh returns as writer and executive producer.

While Cyrus is returning, the original cast of the series — which included Meghan Markle before she joined the royal family — will not be returning. Instead, Arrow Star Stephen Amell will lead a new cast in a new location, as the legal drama moves from New York City to the eponymous Los Angeles.

According to NBC's log, Suits: LA The film stars Ted Black, a former New York federal prosecutor who reinvents himself by representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point and to survive, he must embrace a role he has despised throughout his career. Ted is surrounded by a cast of fascinating characters who test their loyalty to Ted and to each other as they can't help but intertwine their personal and professional lives.

Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, and Bryan Greenberg will star in the film. Suits: LAwhich is said to be set in the same world as the events of suit — STU, or Suits Television Universe — as a USA series despite none of the cast of the previous show appearing (yet).
