Taylor Swift Arrives at Kansas City Chiefs Game as NFL Season Begins

It's back stronger than the 90s trend.

Taylor Swift was spotted arriving at the Kansas City Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday night to cheer on her boyfriend Travis Kelce, the team's tight end, in their NFL season opener against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Chiefs host the Ravens in a rematch of last season's NFL Championship Game. The Chiefs defeated the Ravens 17-10 on January 28 and went on to beat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.

Fox4 Kansas City sports director Rob Collins also posted a video of Taylor Swift arriving at the venue on social media.

Rumors surrounding Swift and Kelce's romance began to escalate in July 2023 when he attended the singer's Eras tour at her home stadium and joked about wanting to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it. In September 2023, Kelce admitted on “The Pat McAfee Show” that he invited Swift to watch him play. Later that month, Swift watched the Chiefs play the Chicago Bears from a suite next to Kelce's mother. The duo were also seen leaving the venue together, and the pop singer subsequently attended several Chiefs games throughout the season.

In December, Swift spoke candidly about her relationship with Kelis in an interview with Time magazine, which named her its Person of the Year.

“It all started when Travis did a great job on his podcast, which I thought was great metal music… We started hanging out right after that,” she told TIME. “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple.”

Following her final Eras Tour performance in Tokyo, Swift took a trip to Las Vegas to cheer on Kelce and the Chiefs at Super Bowl LVIII. Swift wore a red jacket and a necklace with the number “87,” Kelce's jersey number.
