Three American stars, three different visions of greatness, tonight in Paris
Taylor Swift Admitted Her voice is in a new promotional video released Saturday, celebrating a group of Team USA's brightest athletes who all earned medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Powered by 1989 In her single “Style,” Swift paid tribute to gymnast Simone Biles, swimmer Katie Ledecky, and runner Sha-Carrie Richardson.
“Never be afraid to show who you are, especially when the whole world is watching,” the singer says in the video, which features Biles, Ledecky and Richardson competing in Paris. “Because there’s no one way to be the best. There’s no one way to inspire everyone who’s going to come after you one day. You do what you love. You love what you do. You believe in your style, whatever it is.”
“Katy, Shakari and Simone. Three American superstars, three different visions of greatness, tonight in Paris,” Swift concludes.
The promotion comes just one day after Biles reclaimed her all-around title with an electric floor performance to Swift's hit song “Ready for It?”
The video also makes Swift the latest artist to support the Paris Olympics. Lady Gaga and Celine Dion performed at the opening ceremony earlier this month, while Beyoncé featured the competitors representing Team USA in her own promotional video.
“Let’s talk about strength, because that’s really the story,” Beyoncé said in the video. “The physical strength. It’s the beauty, it’s the wonder, it’s the way it never ceases to amaze you. And then there’s the spiritual strength, the kind that really matters. The strength that you can’t see, you can only feel. The strength that you need in those moments when things are a little bit rough.”
