Taylor Swift Debuts ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart’ Music Video

Taylor Swift debuted the music video for her song “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” from “The Tortured Poets Department” during the final stop of her tour in London on Tuesday, ahead of its online release.

Swift played the nearly four-minute video after leaving the Wembley Stadium stage, shortly after saying her goodbyes with her usual closing song, “Karma.” The cinematic footage included behind-the-scenes clips from the Eras Tour (which Billboard estimates will be worth around $900 million by the end of 2023) with brief appearances from Swift's background dancers and tour crew, including a bit of behind-the-scenes footage of how she traveled under the stage.

The celebratory video is synced to “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” one of the more musically upbeat songs on Swift's “Tortured Poets” album, though most of the lyrics are somber as Swift seemingly sings about going through a breakup while embarking on the biggest tour of her life.

The song is said to be about her recovery from a breakup with Joe Alwyn, with some speculating that it is linked to The 1975 lead singer Matty Healy, whom she is rumored to be dating. In a perhaps symbolic move, at a previous show in London, Swift's new boyfriend Travis Kelce joined her on stage before the song began, literally wowing her before she could sing the song about heartbreak.

The news of the music video was revealed as Swift was wrapping up her eighth and final date at Wembley Stadium in London. The concert also marks the end of her long European leg of her “Eras Tour.” She will return to North America on October 18 for a concert at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
