Destroyer Zeroa new anime show from Netflix, adds a new twist to James Cameron's popular sci-fi series. By taking the series away from the Connor family and outside the United States, Destroyer Zero The film takes place in Japan in 1997 on the cusp of Doomsday (August 29). The destroyer The Iron Man film series turns 40 this year (it was released in 1984), and despite some disappointing entries in the franchise, the overarching narrative of man versus machine feels more relevant today than ever.
MovieWeb spoke to Destroyer ZeroSeries director Masashi Kudo talks about his work on the new show, and the anime veteran explains why. In the age of artificial intelligence, many believe that The destroyerThe story of “Artificial Intelligence,” about an AI that becomes self-aware and causes a nuclear war on humanity, sounds less like science fiction and more like a warning. Masashi Kudo explains:
“The topic is man versus machine, but at the same time, it's really about how [humanity] It deals with new technology, whether nuclear…and how humans adapt new technology into weapons.
How new technology is born every day, and how humans interact with and use these new technologies, this is, I feel, the main theme of the franchise.

Masashi Kudo Reveals If James Cameron Has Seen Terminator: Zero
Destroyer Zero This isn't the only new addition to James Cameron's groundbreaking sci-fi franchise. Earlier this month, Cameron revealed that he's working on a new “secret” film. The destroyer Project. During discussion Destroyer Zero, Cameron revealed that he was not closely involved in the new anime. (with executive producer Mattson Tomlin overseeing the series), but he's “curious to see what they come up with.”
During our discussion, Masashi Kudo revealed that he was unable to meet James Cameron during the production of the series, noting that Cameron had no involvement in the new series. Even more surprisingly, Kudo revealed that James Cameron has not watched the new anime yet. He said:
No I haven't seen it. I'd like to see it soon.
For Masashi Kudo, working on Destroyer Zero It was a dream come true. He is best known for his work in long-running anime. ovaryKudo revealed that he is a long-time fan of The destroyer The franchise, even enjoyed the lesser-known parts of the series. Kudo shared his history with The destroyer Movies saying:

Written and directed by Mattson Tomlin, with all eight episodes directed by Masashi Kudo, Destroyer Zero The anime follows Malcolm Lee (André Holland), a scientist living in Japan who dreams of doomsday. While working on his AI, Kokoro (Rosario Dawson), Malcolm meets Echo (Sonoya Mizuno), a soldier sent from the future to stop Skynet’s T-800 (Timothy Olyphant) from killing him and causing a nuclear apocalypse.
