The Boys Season 5 Will Be Released in 2026 Says Karl Urban


Boys Fans will be waiting a long time to see how the showdown between Billy Butcher and Homelander will go, with the star Karl Urban Season 5 premiere date revealed on Prime Video. Like many fans, Urban wants the show to return as soon as possible, but disappointingly, it looks like there won't be a Waiting for two years to return Boys.




After the end of season four, Urban posted a post on his Instagram account showing Butcher holding a blood-stained iron bar. In the comments on the photo, he wrote:

Working with the famous actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan was the best part of my day. That's all for @theboystv so far. See you in 2 years (hopefully sooner) for the final season on Prime Video

It was announced right before Season 4 came out that there would only be one more round of Boys Written by Eric Kripke, this would conclude the main story of the franchise. At the time, Kripke wrote:


“Part of it is the stupid screenwriter, but three and five are the big magic numbers for writing. Three is the number of movies, five is the number of TV shows. And jokes are three out of five. And five just seems like a good number. It’s enough to tell the story but also to get it to a climax without losing its appeal. It was hard because I couldn’t tell everyone. I was happy to finally get the word out.”


The Boys stumbled in season four, but it still has a strong following.

While Kripke may have been concerned about that, Boys The series could lose popularity if it continues beyond its fifth season, but the viewership figures for season four suggest that's not likely. Despite the series' most recent episode receiving the franchise's lowest audience ratings, the series has dominated Prime Video since its final season debuted.


For their part, critics continued to praise Boys The show was a hit, but audiences seemed to object to the show's political bent, with some unhappy with the show's inaccurate satire of right-wing political views and Trump-like agendas.
