The Ghostface Costume From Scream Is Going to Auction Next Month

The event will take place from August 15-18 in Los Angeles, and the iconic Ghostface costume will be auctioned off on the first day at the Petersen Automotive Museum. The costume, called “Lot 280,” is expected to sell for between $50,000 and $100,000. So start counting your pennies. According to the item notes, whoever has the cash will own the mask and shroud from the 90s horror classic:

“This iconic costume consists of a single glow-in-the-dark PVC mask and a custom-made, shimmering Lurex cape with a hood and integrated gloves… Attached to the mask is a black cotton shroud with a self-adhesive strip sewn on top to secure the cape's hood, which has a second strip sewn on the inside. The pull-on cape features a one-piece front and is made of a unique woven fabric that contains silver-colored threads to give the appearance of shimmer. The shimmer ultimately helped visually differentiate the costume from dark backgrounds and was unique to the early Scream films.”
