Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Disney has released a massive trailer in San Diego, showcasing the deep Middle-earth storyline that’s been incorporated into the new season of the Tolkien-based series streaming on Prime Video. After a less-than-amazing audience response to the first season, the show’s producers promised that the second season would be more closely tied to the Tolkien world that fans know and love, and it looks like they’re delivering on that promise.
The Season 2 trailer gives us a fresh look at returning characters like Galadriel, the Stranger, the Rabbit, and Sauron, who begins his rise to power and brings war to Middle-earth. However, there are some big surprises revealed as well. Along with a better look at Rory Kinnear's Tom Bombadil, there are also hints at the return of the Balrog, Shelob the Spider, and even what appears to be an appearance by Treebeard Ent.
Watch the trailer and see the new chapter in Middle Earth Evolve.

How The Rings of Power Producers Listened to Fan Feedback to Craft Season 2
The creators of the TV series The Rings of Power said the second season of the series has improved its storytelling through insights gained from audience feedback.
One of the most exciting (and perhaps controversial) new additions is the introduction of Tom Bombadil. He is played by men Star Rory Kinnear, a beloved character shrouded in mystery, was largely left out of the adaptations. And J.D. Payne thinks he knows why…
“There’s a reason he didn’t appear in previous adaptations, because in some ways he’s an anti-drama character. He’s not a character with a particularly strong agenda. He’s watching the drama, but he’s not very much involved in it. In The Fellowship of the Ring, the characters go there and spend some time, and Tom drops some knowledge on them.”
