“THE SHADOW STRAYS is a film of extreme violence and action from start to finish. At nearly two and a half hours, this blood-soaked, adrenaline-fueled tale of guardianship and the nature of violence packs a punch. Aurora Ribeiro does her best in her physically and emotionally grueling performance, crushing everyone in her path while captivating us in the process. Her climactic showdown with Hannah Malasan is one of the best choreographed and most emotionally charged one-on-one fight scenes I’ve ever seen. Normally, I’d roll my eyes at the MCU-style setup for a sequel, but I was so excited and morbidly satisfied by the brutal killings and carnage that I say, give us more!!”
