Tim Meadows Joins CBS Comedy Pilot ‘DMV’

Tim Meadows is set to star in the CBS comedy pilot “DMV.” diverse I have learned.

The single-camera comedy pilot was originally announced in August on the channel. The show is based on a short story by Kathryn Heaney. The official trailer for the show states that the show “takes place where everyone fears the most: the Department of Motor Vehicles. Our quirky, lovable characters earn minimum wage, do a low-paying job where customers are annoyed before they even walk in the door. Luckily, they have each other in common.”

Meadows will appear as Greg. Greg is described as “a former high school English teacher. Greg is an examiner who loves to pass driving tests, and today, as quickly as possible. With an uncanny ability to make subtle observations of those around him, Greg is sarcastic, defeated, and would love nothing more than to retire.”

Meadows is best known for his appearances on Saturday Night Live, where he was a cast member for 10 seasons. During his time on Saturday Night Live, Meadows repeatedly played the character Leon Phelps, also known as “The Ladies Man,” and Meadows co-starred in the 2000 film Ladies Man. Meadows has also starred in films such as Mean Girls, Grown Ups, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. He is also known for his role as John Glascott on the ABC sitcom The Goldbergs and its spinoff Schooled, and has appeared on shows such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Office, and Miracle Workers.

He is represented by CESD Talent Agency and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

Dana Klein is the writer and executive producer of “DMV”. Aaron Kaplan, Wendy Trilling and Robin Meisinger also serve as executive producers. CBS Studios produces the series.
