Tom Cruise Closes Paris Olympics With Epic, Death-Defying Stunt


Hollywood star and action movie icon Tom Cruise ended the Paris 2024 Olympics the only way he knew how… by risking his life to entertain us.. the Mission Impossible A star jumped from the top of the Stade de France to announce the handover of the Paris Olympic Games to the Los Angeles Olympic Games, which will be held in 2028.




In a part worthy of any of Cruise's appearances as IMF agent Ethan Hunt, Cruz jumped from the roof of the stadium, the largest in France, and landed on the stage without any effort. Where he was handed the Olympic flag by Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo. But it didn't end there, as Cruz hopped on a motorcycle and exited the stadium, with a pre-recorded clip showing the actor jumping out of a plane and landing next to the Hollywood sign to signal the handover of Paris to Los Angeles.

Our hero Tom Cruise’s latest stunt in Paris comes after he was honoured by the nation, with the iconic actor being named a Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur by French Culture Minister Rachida Dati. Cruise was just one part of a star-studded closing ceremony, with the likes of Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and HER performing during the event. The closing ceremony was organised by artistic director Thomas Joly and executive director Thierry Ripoll, with the Olympic final also highlighting several high-profile French bands, including Phoenix and Air.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has spoken about what to expect from the 2028 Olympics (via Reuters), saying the event will reflect the city's “diversity and international character.”

“I think our Olympics will showcase the diversity and international character of our city. And we have Hollywood, so I expect a lot of magical opportunities, which may start at the closing ceremony.”
