Having become hugely popular among fans of drama, crime and adventure television, The tracker It is preparing for its second season this fall. The latest news is that Jensen Ackles The series will return in a more significant role than before, creating more hype surrounding the second season of the hit CBS series.
At Comic-Con 2024 in San Diego last month, stars Justin Hartley and The tracker Executive producer Elwood Reid spoke to ComicBook about what fans can expect ahead of season 2 by staying tight-lipped about the plot but revealing just how perfect it is. supernatural The actor fits the narrative and helps bring out the unique shades of Hartley’s character, Colter Shaw. Reed also emphasized the fact that Ackles’ return is crucial to furthering the overall story. To quote Hartley’s conversation with Reed from the interview:
“It’s great. You wrote a good dynamic. The brother is taken straight from the book, it’s a difficult relationship, the way he wrote it. There’s tension, of course, because of what happened, what they’ve been through. But also, they’re brothers. And from the beginning, the silence that was between them and they didn’t talk, they didn’t talk, they didn’t do anything, there’s no connection at all. And now, here they are side by side and they have to do this thing together. So I think it was great. And that dynamic is great too, because we see this lone wolf character. He’s always on his own. He’s always doing his own thing. And then all of a sudden you see this other guy next to him. And there’s a little bit of tension there. But also, I think at the end, there’s some respect and love. So it’s an interesting place to see Colter that we haven’t seen before.”

Justin and Ackles share an amazing dynamic on set.
Jensen Ackles first appeared in The tracker In season one, Reed played Russell Shaw, Colter's estranged brother. His character was hinted at throughout season one, building anticipation for the big reveal. Needless to say, his portrayal of Russell added richness to the narrative. Reed also expressed his excitement at Ackles' casting and was impressed with his off-screen chemistry with Hartley, explaining how their dynamic made it easy for him to portray Russell Shaw.
“It's not so much about acting when you see [Hartley and Ackles] “It was crazy. You always get nervous when you write something to see if there’s chemistry between them. I didn’t say anything about the dynamic. I didn’t say anything. And these guys… I was like, ‘This could be a disaster,’ because I’ve worked with Jensen before and you never know what could happen. It was so funny because the first two days of shooting, I was there. I was like, ‘Well, I don’t know what this is.’ But they showed me how to write it. It was just seeing the chemistry between them. It’s crazy… He’s like him too. So as soon as they step on the set, I think you feel it. It’s rare in this business to have that.”
