Trump Posts Fan Fiction on Biden Stealing Nomination Back From Harris

Donald Trump took his obsession with crafting lies about Democratic nominee Kamala Harris to the next level, writing his own fiction Tuesday about the vice president.

In a tweet full of typos and baseless conspiracy theories, Trump wrote: “What are the odds that Crooked Joe Biden, the worst President in the history of the United States, whose Presidency was unconstitutionally stolen from him by Kamala, Barack Hussein Obama, Crazy Nancy Pelosi, Crooked Adam Schiff, Crying Chuck Schumer, and other Crazy Left, will storm the Democratic National Convention and try to reclaim the Nomination.”

The former president continued: “He feels he made a tragic historical mistake by handing the American presidency, a coup, to the most hated person in the world, and he wants it back now!!!”

Despite Trump's attempt to sow doubt (and boost morale within the Republican Party), President Joe Biden has publicly and fully endorsed Harris, urging the Democratic Party to “come together and defeat Trump.”

After the president’s decision not to seek reelection, the Democratic Party quickly rallied behind the vice president — from lawmakers to celebrities who pledged their support for her 2024 bid. Trump, on the other hand, responded with an apparent nervous breakdown about the prospect of facing her instead of Biden — backing out of a scheduled Sept. 10 debate and proposing a televised showdown with the vice president, but on his preferred network, Fox News, instead.

Since then, Trump and his allies have struggled to find a line of attack against Harris, hurling a variety of sexist and racist insults at the vice president, from claiming she is a “DEI employee” to criticizing her for not having biological children.

Meanwhile, Trump and his running mate, J.D. Vance, have been widely criticized as “weird” and “scary” — part of the Democrats’ rhetorical strategy to criticize the pair for their attempts to take away reproductive health care, civil rights and gay rights. Of course, the former president’s latest fantasy scenario about the vice president makes things even stranger.

As Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, summed it up during their first appearance as the Democratic nominee at a rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday, Trump and his allies are “scary and weird, yes, very weird.”
