“My imagination has always been inspired by the Norse gods… Thor and Odin, an adventure story of love, redemption and revenge set in these stunning landscapes. It really made me want to dig in and get involved.

“Netflix has been really open. They’ve allowed us to do things that I felt like in the past, on my other projects, I’ve been hesitant to do just because it’s not as mainstream as it should be. In this situation, they’ve been really understanding and we’ve been expressing that this is in line with the mythology and it’s in line with the audience and what they expect and all of that. … It’s exciting. I’ll call it what it is. It’s really fun and it’s fun to have characters that are really sexually free and not have any complexes.”
