Watch Snail Mail Celebrate Oasis Reunion With ‘Supersonic’ Cover


The musician performed the song in 1994 during her concert at SummerStage in New York.

Singer Snell Mill, also known as Lindsay Jordan, has been a longtime Oasis fan. The singer paid tribute to the Manchester-based band during her performance at New York’s Central Park Summer Theater this week, performing a cover of the band’s 1994 single “Supersonic.”

After performing the disturbing song during the show, which also featured Tim Heidecker and Vinny Lilley, Jordan shouted, “Welcome back, Oasis.”

Jordan has covered Oasis songs before, including renditions of “Wonderwall” and “Live Forever.” She shared an Instagram story of herself earlier this week in which she anticipated buying tickets for Oasis’ 2025 tour, which they excitedly announced on Tuesday.

In 2021, Jordan said Entertainment Weekly She puts on Oasis songs to get ready before a show. “I love Oasis,” she says. “Listening to them gets me focused on the game. And I love The 1975. I feel like you have to have a certain attitude when you go on stage – I have to put my face on right before – and The 1975 puts me in that place. It’s very confident, engaging, attitude-filled music. I don’t know what it is with British people and rock music. They do it a bit more chilled out.”

Last month, Jordan unveiled her cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' classic “Tonight Tonight.” The song was originally recorded for Jane Schoenbrun's critically acclaimed film, I saw the TV glowingwhere Jordan made her acting debut.

Snail Mail's short tour kicked off this month, starting August 26 at the Prescott Parks Arts Festival in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The tour runs through September 8, concluding at the Fillmore in Philadelphia.
