Few artists have Chappelle Rowan’s summer has been like no other. The “Red Wine Supernova” singer has performed to huge crowds at Lollapalooza, Coachella and the Governor’s Ball, and has seen her Spotify streams double in the past two months. Her rapid rise up the charts has led to the release of her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princess The book is difficult to find, as the original copy is not available at many retailers. If you are looking for a copy, there are still ways to find it.

The original edition of the album, a double CD on black vinyl, is available on Amazon and Walmart. If you’re willing to wait, Chappell Roan has announced an anniversary reissue, featuring a coral-colored album with deluxe packaging and a poster. The reissue will ship on September 20, the year before the album’s initial release week. There are also Target and Urban Outfitters-exclusive versions of the album, which come in unique colors. The reissue, exclusive to retailers, will also ship on September 20 and can be pre-ordered now.

If you want to get your hands on the album right away, the first black vinyl edition is available on Amazon and Walmart. Fans willing to wait a month can get one of the color versions, including exclusives from Target and Urban Outfitters.

The exclusive edition of the album is printed on “glossy Coca-Cola bottle-shaped clear vinyl” and the double album is encased in a folding sleeve. Like the other editions, this one is set to hit stores on September 20.

Chappell Roan toured with Olivia Rodrigo on her Guts Tour, opening for her in the winter and spring. The two reunited when Rodrigo brought Chappell Roan to perform “Hot to Go!”. They performed the song (and dance) at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles during Rodrigo's penultimate show on the American leg of the Guts Tour.

Viscera and The Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princess Producer Dan Nigro, who has also worked with Sky Ferreira, Conan Gray and Caroline Polachek, shared the story. Of their partnership, Chappelle Rowan said in 2022: Rolling Stone “I love it when people push me and tell me my lyrics or my performance aren’t good enough. That’s not really the case for most of the co-writers here that I’ve worked with. Until I met Dan.” Their first collaboration was 2018’s “Pink Pony Club,” which appeared on the full-length album.

Chappelle Rowan also recently took to TikTok to express her frustration over annoying fan behavior, saying, “It’s weird that people think you know someone just because you see them online and listen to the art they make. That’s really weird. I’m allowed to say no to creepy behavior.”

The album was pressed on 2xLP vinyl and contains 14 tracks. On all pressings, the tracks were split across the three sides, leaving the fourth side blank.
