1923 actor Cole Brings Plenty has died at the age of 27, after being reported missing earlier in the day on April 5th. While there have been no details released about the cause of death, the actor was found after police were called to an unoccupied vehicle in the area of 200th and Homestead Lane.
Brings Plenty appeared in several episodes of Yellowstone prequel series 1923, and was the nephew of Yellowstone’s Mo Brings Plenty. According to reports, the actor went missing while being wanted for questioning by the police in relation to domestic violence allegations. However, Mo Brings Plenty shared a message from the actor’s father, Joe Brings Plenty, who asked for help finding him and at the same time refuted the claims that he was on the run. The statement read:
“Despite our persistent efforts, we have been unable to establish contact with Cole, and our immediate concern is his safety and well-being. Cole’s sudden disappearance without telling anyone his whereabouts is anomalous, causing a wave of concern spreading rapidly across the nation and parts of Canada.
“It has been suggested that Cole is on the run, but there is no evidence to support this claim, and we urge everyone to refrain from making unfounded speculations. It’s important to let the legal system determine truth and justice. Assigning guilt because someone hasn’t been found is not the due process to which each of us has a right. As we intensify our search for Cole, we hope that law enforcement—the Lawrence Police Department and surrounding agencies—devotes the same effort and resources to locating a missing person as apprehending a suspect. Cole deserves no less.”
The actor became best known for playing Pete Plenty Clouds in two episodes of 1923, as well as working on the series behind the scenes. He also appeared in Yellowstone. His career was only just beginning, with the star having also appeared in The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger and Into the Wild Frontier.
Cole Brings Plenty is the Second Actor to Die Aged 27 in a Week
The age of 27 has become associated with the untimely death of several prominent celebrities, ultimately leading to the informal “27 Club” name being given to the list of stars to have died at that age.
With its first “members” being traced back to musicians from the 1800s, some of the first prominent modern members were Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin, with others such as Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse continuing the coincidental trend into a new generation. However, several actors have joined this group, including Jonathan Brandis – best known for playing the young Bill Denbrough in the 1990 mini-series of Stephen King’s It – Star Trek’s Anton Yelchin, and Gen V star Chance Perdomo.
