Zack Snyder He responded to Henry CavillA surprise appearance by 's in a Wolverine-type alter ego in Deadpool and WolverineThe director seems quite willing to share his thoughts on the actor, having directed him in three of his films as Superman, but he seems in no rush to see Cavill's latest outing on the big screen in what has quickly become a box office giant.
During an interview with Hollywood ReporterSnyder discussed the director's new versions of his two films. Rebellious Moon Snyder had plenty of questions about other things that deserved his attention, and Cavill’s funny, if brief and annoying, cameo in the new Marvel Cinematic Universe film was at the top of the list. However, when Snyder was asked what he thought of the cameo, he responded with disappointment:
I haven't seen it yet, but I've heard about it. It looks fun.
While Snyder is clearly a busy man, there were plenty of fans who would have liked to hear his take on Cavill’s moment of crossing the floor, years after playing the Last Son of Krypton as part of Snyder’s DC Universe — especially when the Merc with a Mouth that Reynolds played suggests that Marvel Studios would certainly treat the actor better than “the studio down the street.” Snyder had no comment to add to that particular joke, but he offered the interviewer a knowing smile.
Snyder was also asked about his thoughts on Cavill being cast as Superman years ago, and whether the director thought he was the perfect fit for the role. In a completely unsurprising answer, Snyder said:
Well, Henry is an amazing Superman to me, obviously. I hired him. I wanted him to be Superman. So any coins left on the table are going to be unfortunate, and in that way, it would be great to have more Henry. I've always thought we could have more Henry.
Fans have wanted to see Henry Cavill play Wolverine for years.
Every major character in the comics has a number of fan-made choices that can be found online. While Hugh Jackman is Wolverine, and it looks like he will be until his death (according to Deadpool , at least), there have been several other actors who have been imagined to play the character over the past decade. One actor whose name has consistently appeared on this list is Cavill.
While it seemed like the famous actor had missed out on playing James Bond, the arrival of Deadpool and Wolverine That all changed in an instant. As with many of the film’s scenes and cameos, Cavill’s appearance in the film was a service to fans who came to see a free conveyor belt of storyboard footage, most-requested moments, and cameos from big names.
