American rapper A$AP Rocky appears to be delivering his new song “Tailor Swif” in Swifty style, but not in the Eras Tour style. He first performed the song during a number of festival appearances in 2022, when fans still thought its real title was “Taylor Swift,” but he held off on officially releasing it after a copy of the song and video leaked online.
“Eating lamb chops on the street when we were broke/ Even when I was poor, here I was, eating goat/ Mary had a little lamb, but my mama needed a coat/ Yeah, I had a sheepskin coat and a Gucci coupling when I was four,” Rocky sings on the second verse before slipping back into a name-flipping chorus: “I’m so fast, don’t tell Taylor about that shit/ I’m so fast, now don’t tell Taylor about that shit/ Go to my tailor, she got me dripping like/ Go to my tailor, she got me dripping in the zone.”
“Tailor Swif” is the latest single from Rocky, who has been constantly hinting at the release of his upcoming album. Don't be stupidAlthough he has not yet set a release date, he recently participated in the song “Highjack” featuring Jessica Pratt and performed unreleased material during his shows at Rolling Loud Miami and Rolling Loud Portugal.
When discussing the inspiration behind the single, the rapper cited influences from European abstract art. “We’re coming in with a whole new aesthetic in everything, especially with German expressionism and everything about the gritty future of the ghetto,” the Harlem rapper said in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1.
