The singer unveils his upcoming LP, which will be released on November 15, and releases new single “Pasaporte” with appearances by David Guetta and The Martinez Brothers
Puerto Rican singer Rao Alejandro takes a jet to Ibiza in his latest music video for his new single “Pasaporte”. The artist paired the release of the song with the announcement of his fifth studio album Cosa Nostra It will drop on November 15th.
A press release promotes the upcoming LP as “a new chapter in Rauw Alejandro’s musical career,” and states that “Pasaporte” is the project’s third single after the previously released “Déjame Entrar” and “Touching The Sky.” The tracks feature Mr. NaisGai, while the accompanying video was filmed during Alejandro's trip to Ibiza, and includes appearances by David Guetta and the Martinez Brothers.
Earlier this year, Alejandro dropped collaborations with Sky Rompiendo for “Espectacular,” Alvaro Diaz for “BYAK,” and Shakira for “Espectacular.” Las Mujeres No Yoran“Kohiti.”
While speaking with Today.com in July, the musician teased the upcoming album but did not provide a release date. “It's not ready yet, but I hope it will be soon,” he said at the time. “These songs (are) too good to be put in the studio.”
He continued: “Nowadays, people want music every Friday. I think every artist should take their time and enjoy whatever they are doing at the moment… it takes time to move to the next level.
Alejandro will take the stage in New York's Central Park for the 2024 Global Citizen Festival this weekend on September 28th with Post Malone, Doja Cat, Lisa and Jelly Roll. Benson Bone and Ray are also scheduled to perform.
