Kylie Minogue Hits the Dance Floor on Single ‘Lights Camera Action’


Kylie Minogue has released a new song called “Lights Camera Action”. The high-energy dancefloor track was produced by Lewis Thompson and co-written by Kylie, Thompson, Inna and Roldsen. Minogue will release a music video for the song, directed by Sophie Muller and filmed in Budapest, later today.

The song is accompanied by several remixes, including versions by Confidence Man, Zach Witness and Jaconda.

“Lights Camera Action” is the first single from Minogue's new album, Second tensionout October 18 via Mushroom Music. The LP is the follow-up to Minogue's 2023 album tension. The 13-song album will include previously released collaborations “Edge of Saturday Night” with Blessed Madonna, “My Oh My” with Bebe Rexha and Tove Lo, “Midnight Ride” with Orville Peck and Diplo, and “Dance Alone” with Sia .

To support the album, Minogue will embark on her Tension Tour 2025 next year. The world tour will kick off in Australia next February, before heading to Asia and the United Kingdom in May. Additional dates will be announced in Europe, North America and South America.

“I can't wait to share beautiful and exciting moments with fans around the world, celebrate the era of stress and more,” Minogue said in a statement. “It's been an exhilarating ride so far, now get ready for your close-up because I'll be dialing in the lights, camera and action… and there's going to be a lot of Padaming!”

Speaking to ABC News in Australia earlier this week, Minogue confirmed the tour would include the “biggest hits”, adding: “I definitely already know I'm going to leave some room for some weird stuff.” She said she wanted the shows to feel “positive and upbeat.” “It's something I want people to feel from the show and from the music,” Minogue said.

I noticed the new single, it's absolutely hypnotic. “It's so much fun, you'll probably be using 'Lights Camera Action' in common parlance from now on.”

Earlier this year, Minogue won a Grammy Award for Best Dance Pop Recording for her single “Padam Padam,” which appeared on tension.
