The two vastly different men must learn to work with one another and deal with the other’s temperaments as they race against the clock to catch the crazed killer known as “Blitz,” with Brant using his own questionable methods to hunt down the criminal.

Upon its worldwide release, Blitz received a mixed bag response from critics, who praised the thriller for its savvy screenplay, wry humor, and Statham’s commanding performance, though felt that the pacing was jumbled and that it was a run-of-the-mill action flick. Blitz also starred familiar faces like Luke Evans and David Morrissey, and was a modest financial success, grossing $15.8 million at the box office.

Though the film was ultimately a straight-forward thriller, it nonetheless featured Statham doing what he does best and showcased his hand-to-hand combat skills and unparalleled physical prowess.

Snipes portrays master thief and hacker Lorenz, who begins to take out his accomplices one-by-one after unleashing a virus in the computer system and shares a surprising connection with Conners’ past.

A Straight-Forward Police Thriller

Chaos was shot in just 22 days and was a part of Statham’s two-picture deal with Franchise Pictures, and due to budgetary constraints the action flick’s script was heavily rewritten to coincide with the short production schedule.

Though perhaps not one of Statham’s most acclaimed projects, Chaos still proved to be an exhilarating ride for audiences and had plenty of twists and turns, with DVD Verdict writing in their review of the film, “Chaos may not redefine what’s possible in the police suspense thriller, but it’s satisfying and entertaining enough to earn a look-see by fans of the genre or anyone hankering for a decent, plot-twist-heavy actioner.”
